Click here to search our featured Jacksonville/St Augustine homes for saleWhy wait til Halloween to enjoy a fun Fall event like the 2015 St Augustine Corn Maze?  Located just 22 minutes southwest of our St Augustine community, Sykes & Cooper Farms puts on quite a show!  The farm is nine acres of family-friendly fun.  One corn maze just won’t due.  Oh no.  Even though the main maze is a thing of beauty, the wee ones might feel a little intimidated.  That’s why Sykes & Cooper created the very kid-friendly Jack and the Cornstalk maze just for them.

The 2015 St Augustine Corn Maze is not the only treat you’ll find in the farm’s bag of tricks.  Have fun on the old fashioned hayride or hop aboard the cow train.  Visit with Jack, quite possibly the loudest braying donkey you’ll ever meet.  Kids will enjoy the playground that includes fun activities like the corn box, tube slide and spider web.  The duck races are a favorite.  And, since this is a working farm, you’ll be able to see plenty of farm animals roaming around.

Is it too early to pick up a pumpkin?  No way!  As you long as you store them between 50-55F, an uncarved pumpkin can last up to four months.  Pick up a few for fun Fall decorations at the 2015 St Augustine Corn Maze.

Have you ever been to a corn maze before?  Which ones?  Tell me all about your experience in the comments below.

2015 St Augustine Give Kids the World Fundraiser

Click here to search our featured Jacksonville/St Augustine homes for saleThe Holiday Isle Oceanfront Resort will be hosting the 2015 St Augustine Give Kids the World Fundraiser poolside this Saturday, August 29th.  There will be live and silent auctions carried on throughout the day.  Several local businesses and organizations have generously donated some amazing prizes to auction off.  Sparky the Clown will visit with guests.  The Jacksonville Men’s Chorus and MC Roger Ramsey will both perform live.  Commemorate the day with a crazy photo in the photo booth.  Hot dogs, burgers and other refreshments will be available for purchase as well.

Proceeds from the 2015 St Augustine Give Kids the World Fundraiser will directly benefit the Give Kids the World Village.  The Village was begun because it took too long for one man to help accommodate a terminally ill child’s wish to visit Orlando theme parks.  She passed away before this hotelier could coordinate with other hoteliers in the area.  Vowing that no other child would have to wait for their wishes to be granted, Henri Landwirth came up with the idea of the Give Kids the World Village.  Today, the Village sits on 70 acres that contain 144 villas for sick children and their families.  The entire park was created with special needs children in mind.

Do you know of a child that could benefit from the Village?  Let us know in the comments below.  Then make plans to visit the 2015 St Augustine Give Kids the World Fundraiser on Saturday.  Your help will do wonders.
